# Set up your clinic

> Configure organization identity, team access, and the working conventions your clinic will use.

## Configure the organization

1. Open Settings from the sidebar.
2. If Finish clinic setup appears, complete MFA and locations first (see Finish clinic setup).
3. Confirm the organization name and upload a recognizable logo (organization-wide branding).
4. Review organization status, billing information, and seat usage under Settings.
5. If you operate more than one site, open Settings → Locations and add each site (default access mode: assigned).
6. Record the organization ID when support asks for it; do not use it as a patient identifier.

> **Organization vs location**
> The sidebar switches organizations when you belong to more than one company account. Locations (sites) live under Settings → Locations inside the selected organization. Branding, seats, and billing cannot be overridden per location; access mode and nudge tolerances can.

## Agree on operating conventions

- Use consistent template names that identify the clinical purpose, not a specific patient.
- Decide who may create templates, assign plans, and acknowledge alerts.
- Document how clinical changes are reviewed outside PeptIQ when your policy requires a formal medical-record entry.
- Treat cost values as planning assumptions and define who maintains purchase prices.
- Decide which staff are location-scoped versus organization-wide (floating providers or shared nursing).

## Complete a launch check

1. Complete Security → MFA if your organization requires verification.
2. Confirm locations under Settings and leave assigned access mode unless policy requires otherwise.
3. Invite one internal test user with a non-admin role (or use bulk CSV import), choosing the correct location scope.
4. Create a test template and review dose, schedule, reconstitution, and patient instructions.
5. Run the patient invitation and consent flow with an approved test account.
6. Confirm that each role can see only the expected areas before onboarding real patients.
